This documentary is a plunge into the life of an ordinary man who became a symbol of peaceful resistance against colonial oppression: Simon Kimbangu, recognized in the Kongo tradition as the Mvuluzi (“the Savior”), spiritual guide charged with awakening and raising up his people.
